Little penguin
Little penguins are the smallest penguin, growing to around 40-45cm in height. They inhabit in the temperate marine waters around part of Australia and New Zealand and build their nests in sand dunes or at the base of a cliff. They prefer to nest on islands where they get together and have noisy parties at night during the breeding season.
There is a shoal a few kilometres off the coast near my family’s shack on Yorke Peninsula. It boasts a red and white striped lighthouse and two rarely inhabited houses. Back in the day, we used to take the boat out to the island for a day trip. Largely human-free, the beaches flocked with breeding birds including hundreds of what we then called fairy penguins. They were as magical as fairies to my curious young mind and it was always one of my favourite days of the summer.

Our glasses cases have a sturdy canvas outer printed with our own designs. They are fully lined and feature a padded layer to provide protection for your glasses cases while taking up much less room in your bag than a hard carry case.
They fit most glasses, being 10cm across and around 20cm tall.
They're durable and washable and customers report the fun bright prints make them easy to find in your bag.
Handmade with love
Every fabric used in our glasses cases is designed by Boo at Susurrus Studio in Darwin River, located an hour south of Darwin in the hot tropics of Australia. Boo draws much of her inspiration from her bush environment, especially the birds and flora of the Top End and across Australia.
The fabrics are printed with care in Sydney. When they arrive, Boo steps away from the design table and leans into the sewing machine to hand craft each item.
