Bubbleweed (blue)
Also known as sea grapes, the seaweed species this semi-abstract design is based on has the scientific name Hormosira banksii. It grows in coastal waters around Australia and New Zealand in inter-tidal rock pools. Apparently it is salty and crispy when eaten, not unlike a caper. Strands that have broken off from the main plant often wash ashore on Australian beaches. I can't say I've ever tried eating it but I did have fun drawing it and creating this design from photographs I took while beachcombing in Tasmania.

glasses slip cases
Our glasses cases have a sturdy canvas outer printed with our own designs. They are lined inside and feature a padded layer to provide protection for your glasses cases while taking up much less room in your bag than a hard carry case.
They fit most glasses, being 10cm across and around 20cm tall.
They're durable and washable and customers report the fun bright prints make them easy to find in your bag.
Handmade with love
Every fabric used in our glasses cases is designed by Boo at Susurrus Studio in Darwin River, located an hour south of Darwin in the hot tropics of Australia. Boo draws much of her inspiration from her bush environment, especially the birds and flora of the Top End and across Australia.
The fabrics are printed with care in Sydney. When they arrive, Boo steps away from the design table and leans into the sewing machine to hand craft each item.
