Balck butcherbird
Favouring dense mangroves and the outskirts of coastal rainforests, the black butcherbird can be found along the edges of the north-eastern parts of Australia and throughout much of Papua New Guinea. While it does eat some fruit, it is primarily an ambush hunter that feeds mostly on small snakes, lizards, frogs, crabs, fish and small mammals and birds. Preferring the mid to lower canopy to hunt, in the mangroves these birds will forage on lower branches and even among the tangle of prop-roots in search of a meal.
The black butcherbird is a warbler like its close cousin, the magpie. Males and female engage in duets early in the breeding season.

Our glasses cases have a sturdy canvas outer printed with our own designs. They are lined inside and feature a padded layer to provide protection for your glasses cases while taking up much less room in your bag than a hard carry case.
They fit most glasses, being 10cm across and around 20cm tall.
They're durable and washable and customers report the fun bright prints make them easy to find in your bag.
Handmade with love
Every fabric used in our glasses cases is designed by Boo at Susurrus Studio in Darwin River, located an hour south of Darwin in the hot tropics of Australia. Boo draws much of her inspiration from her bush environment, especially the birds and flora of the Top End and across Australia.
The fabrics are printed with care in Sydney. When they arrive, Boo steps away from the design table and leans into the sewing machine to hand craft each item.
