Eastern Spinebill
Found across much of south-eastern Australia, the Eastern Spinebill feeds on insects and nectar. Their long beaks are perfect for extracting sweet nectar from tubular flowers like grevilleas. While they most often perch to feed, sometimes they hover on fast-beating wings like hummingbirds. Their flight is always fast and somewhat erratic.
Eastern Spinebills can breed twice over a season, usually laying two pinkish spotty eggs in a small cup-shaped nest of grass, bark, twigs, hair and spider’s web in the fork of a tree.

glasses slip cases
Our glasses cases have a sturdy canvas outer printed with our own designs. They are fully lined and feature a padded layer to provide protection for your glasses cases while taking up much less room in your bag than a hard carry case.
They fit most glasses, being 10cm across and around 20cm tall.
They're durable and washable and customers report the fun bright prints make them easy to find in your bag.
Handmade with love
Every fabric used in our glasses cases is designed by Boo at Susurrus Studio in Darwin River, located an hour south of Darwin in the hot tropics of Australia. Boo draws much of her inspiration from her bush environment, especially the birds and flora of the Top End and across Australia.
The fabrics are printed with care in Sydney. When they arrive, Boo steps away from the design table and leans into the sewing machine to hand craft each item.
